Explosive Container (爆発コンテナ Bakuhatsu Kontena),[1] also known as exploding boxes[2] and Exploding Crates,[3] is a container that can explode, causing harm to the player.
Appearances
In Mega Man 11, exploding boxes appear in Blast Man's stage in two sizes. Normally they are harmless and can be used as platforms, but they will explode when hit by Blazing Torch, Chain Blast, Fire Server's attacks, Shimobey's explosion, the explosion from adjacent boxes, or by triggering the laser that appears near some of them. One of the game's secret achievements is to reach the boss without detonating any of the exploding boxes.
Mega Man X7 has Explosive Containers that detonate when approached by the player. They appear in Ride Boarski's stage and Splash Warfly's stage.
In Mega Man X8, explosive containers appear in Bamboo Pandamonium's stage and Burn Rooster's stage. When touched, it will start beeping, warning that it will explode. It can be used as a temporary platform before the explosion.
