Splash Hit (スプラッシュヒット Supurasshu Hitto) is a Leg-type napalm weapon that Vile obtains by defeating Launch Octopus in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. When equipped, Vile shoots a grenade that bounces like normal, but when it blows, it produces a tall whirlwind resembling a charged Storm Tornado (or Octopus's Whirlpool attack, from whom the weapon is obtained). The whirl lasts for a while even after Vile finishes the attack. The player can have as many Splash Hit grenades on the screen at once, limited only by Vile's Weapon Energy. Splash Hit is Flame Mammoth's weakness.
Defeating Launch Octopus will Vile not only be rewarded with Splash Hit, but he will also be rewarded with Humerus Crush as well.

Splash Hit also appears in Project X Zone as Vile's map attack. He can attack up to four characters on the map with it.

Etymology
- "Splash hit" is a term from baseball, for when a player of the San Francisco Giants hits a home run that lands in McCovey Cove. This references Launch Octopus' affinity with water, and also how the whirlpool it creates is like a tall splash of water.
