Weather Control Stage (気象コントロールステージ),[1] also known as Weather Control Center Stage (気象コントロールセンターステージ),[2] is Wire Sponge's stage in Mega Man X2 and Mega Man Xtreme 2, a weather control center that was hijacked by Wire Sponge.

Description

Mega Man X2

X2 Weather Preview

This stage is true to its name - there are Weather Crystals scattered throughout the level which can be used to alter the weather, depending on which weapon they are hit by. The weather dictates properties including which enemies appear, how strong those enemies are, X's mobility, and more. There are also several indoor sections, such as elevator shifts, which are unaffected by weather conditions. The X-Hunter room is hidden near the bottom of one of these elevator shafts, requiring X to sneak under the lift to find it.

Xtr2 Weather Preview

The Weather Control Center makes a reappearance on Laguz Island in Mega Man Xtreme 2 as one of Zero's four stages in Zero Mission. It is virtually the same as in Mega Man X2, but with a Light Capsule in place of the X-Hunter room and no Aclanda enemies.
