Spark Chaser (スパークチェイサー Supāku Cheisā) is Terra's Special Weapon from Mega Man V. It is a laser that can change direction, homing in on the nearest enemy, and can hit multiple times. Although it can only be put to use during the Stardroid rematches, this weapon is Neptune's weakness. While Sunstar has no true weaknesses, not taking more than 1 damage from every attack, the Spark Chaser is the best weapon to use against him, as the laser will keep homing on him and hit him multiple times.
Note that Spark Chaser cannot be saved with a password (without the use of an external cheating device); the furthest point passwords can save the game is at the point just before Mega Man fights Terra.

Trivia
- Despite Terra's original name Earth not being used for the U.S. version of Mega Man V, Spark Chaser is listed as "EA" for Earth, instead of "TE" for Terra.
- The Spark Chaser is the only Special Weapon in Mega Man V to not have a piece of artwork that shows Mega Man using it, and as such, due to the game being on Game Boy, it's his only Special Weapon not to have an official color scheme for him when it's active, as the Special Weapons of the Mega Man Killers returned in Mega Man 10 and received a piece of artwork for each one, including a proper color scheme. The only official art of Mega Man using the Spark Chaser is in a card from a Japanese-exclusive card collection series, where he uses it against Neptune, the Stardroid who's weak to it, but he's shown in his default color scheme.
